Why Choose Rail FCL

Rail FCL means own trains, own flatcars, and a direct contract with China Railway. Here is what makes this service work.

  1. Own trains on a schedule

A stable schedule of own trains. The container departs at the agreed time, not whenever a flatcar happens to be available. The schedule is synchronized with container supply and customs clearance.

  2. 2 000+ owned fitting platform flatcars

Flatcars for transporting 20', 40', 40' HC containers. No waiting for RZD or China Railway to allocate a flatcar. Supply follows the own train schedule.

  3. A direct contract with China Railway

A direct contract with China Railway. Schedule coordination and priority flatcar supply on the China side. No intermediaries on the rail leg of the route.

  4. 4 transport corridors

Four transport corridors instead of dependence on a single route. Switching between routes via Zabaykalsk, Naushki, and Dostyk. Own flatcars on the route through Mongolia. If one crossing is overloaded, we switch to another.

What Cargo We Ship

Geography of Shipping

The geography of rail FCL covers China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, and Russia.

China — Russia (via Zabaykalsk)

The main route. The direct rail crossing Zabaykalsk — Manzhouli. Own trains, a synchronized schedule. Transit time — 14–18 days. Offices and staff in Shanghai and Chengdu handle first-mile organization.

China — Russia (via Naushki / Mongolia)

An alternative route through Mongolia. Own flatcars on the route. Transit time — 16–20 days. Used when Zabaykalsk is overloaded or at the customer's request.

China — Russia (via Dostyk / Kazakhstan)

A third corridor through Kazakhstan. Some sections run through Kazakhstan in accelerated mode. Transit time — 16–20 days. Route diversification reduces delay risks.

Cases We Handle

Rail FCL solves the challenges of importers and manufacturers. Below are typical scenarios.

Importing goods from China via Zabaykalsk

An importer orders a batch of goods — two 40-foot containers. FCL by rail: the containers are loaded at a warehouse in Shanghai, an own train via Zabaykalsk, 16 days. Result: cargo at the destination station in 18 days including customs.

Switching the route during congestion

Zabaykalsk is overloaded in peak season. FCL by rail: we switch the route to Naushki through Mongolia. Own flatcars on the route. Result: the container delivered in 19 days instead of 25+ while waiting for Zabaykalsk.

Importing equipment via Dostyk

A manufacturer orders equipment from China — one 20-foot container. FCL by rail: via Dostyk (Kazakhstan), accelerated mode on the Kazakhstan section. Result: equipment at the station in 17 days.

Stages of Shipping Arrangement

  1. Request and quote

You submit a request with parameters: container size, origin, destination. A manager selects the route and calculates the cost.

  2. Container loading in China

Own staff receive the cargo from the supplier and load the container at a warehouse in Shanghai or Chengdu. Sealing. Document preparation.

  3. Departure by own train

The container is mounted on an own flatcar. The train departs on schedule via the agreed border crossing. The container is not opened in transit.

  4. Border crossing

Bogie change at the border crossing (Zabaykalsk, Naushki, Dostyk). Online border status control. If congested, we switch to an alternative route.

  5. Customs clearance

Customs brokers prepare the declaration, calculate duties and VAT, and support cargo release. Customs in a single loop with delivery.

  6. Delivery to the consignee's warehouse

The container arrives at the destination station. Truck delivery (container chassis) — from the station to the consignee's warehouse. The last mile in a single loop.
